“Consciousness and vibrational frequency go hand in hand. When you’re in a low frequency, you’re in a decreased state of consciousness and your perception is limited. When you’re in a high frequency, you’re in an increased state of consciousness and your perception is heightened.

The lower your vibrational frequency, the less you are able to comprehend because your ego is restricting the Flow of Life Force/source Energy and Intuition/Love through your mind and body. The higher your vibrational frequency, the more you are able to comprehend because you are allowing a greater Flow of Life Force through your mind and body.

In video below, Teal Swan explains that raising your frequency means moving to a better feeling, a more positive emotion. She also explains that the trump card of all things that raise frequency is focus… nothing is more important than the thoughts you are thinking and whatever you’re paying attention to/focusing on. You can not focus on things that cause you to feel bad, and hold a high vibration.

The Emotional Guidance Scale (and How to Climb It)

What is the Emotional Guidance Scale?

The Emotional Guidance Scale, as explained by Abraham Hicks in the book “Ask and It Is Given,” is a scale of our feelings and emotions, in sequence from our highest vibrational feelings to our lowest. It is broken down into 22 of the most common emotions and divided into two sections: the upwards spiral and the downwards spiral:

Upward Spiral:

1. Joy/Appreciation/Empowered/Freedom/Love
2 . Passion
3 . Enthusiasm/Eagerness/Happiness
4 . Positive Expectation/Belief
5 . Optimism
6 . Hopefulness
7 . Contentment

Downward Spiral

8 . Boredom
9 . Pessimism
10. Frustration/Irritation/Impatience
11. Overwhelment
12. Disappointment
13. Doubt
14. Worry
15. Blame
16. Discouragement
17. Anger
18. Revenge
19. Hatred/Rage
20. Jealousy
21. Insecurity/Guilt/Unworthiness
22. Fear/Grief/Depression/Despair/Powerlessness

All too often when we are feeling down, we’re told things like “think positively” or “chin up”, but in reality the jump from such a low vibrational space to such a high one is usually impossible. What the emotional guidance scale teaches us is that there are many different emotional steps along the way to true joy, and that our only real job is to climb this ladder of emotions at whatever rate or speed we are comfortable with. It’s about doing what you can, with what you have, from where you are.

Thoughts Affect Emotions

Our thoughts affect our emotions and therefore it is only through thoughts that we are able to climb the emotional scale. The first and most critical step is to become aware of where you currently are on the scale and then consciously reach for a thought that can take you a little higher.

For example, when you are in a state of grief or depression (#22 on the emotional scale), getting angry (#17) might not seem very “enlightened” or “positive” but it is actually a huge improvement from where you started. By allowing yourself to get angry (and thinking thoughts that express that anger) you have already climbed several steps and improved your vibration.

Boredom (#8 on the scale) is another interesting example. As shown in the image above, its placement is pivotal – it is right in the middle of the two spirals, meaning that the thoughts you choose from that point on can either spin you off into a downwards spiral, or help you climb out of the downwards one into the upwards one.

How to Think Your Way Up the Scale

Blogger, Maria Erving, gives a simple example of how to consciously choose thoughts and words that will help climb the scale at your own pace. In her words:

Let’s say you feel “disappointed” (#12) with someone. You are disappointed that he’s never on time for your get-togethers, he’s always late, and you feel disappointed, even a bit sad. Now would be a good time to see if you can invoke feelings of “irritation”(#10) within yourself by speaking/thinking: “It makes me really sad and disappointed that he’s always late. I feel that he’s not respecting me… wtf! It is sooo irritating that he thinks that I’m going to wait for him one more minute! I’ve had it with this behavior!”

Noticed how your emotion improved? (you went from #12 to #10)

Now, go even higher up:

“You know what? (still talking/thinking to yourself), I don’t care anymore. I’m leaving and he can just come and wait for me this time. I’m going shopping instead. I’m perfectly fine with that”. (feeling “contentment” (#7) and perhaps a bit empowered, too (#1)

From there you just keep finding thoughts that improve your feelings, and when you find a new, improved state of mind, you let go of the old one!

The term ‘Lightworker’ has been around for many years, initially used to describe people doing spiritual, humanitarian or healing work. The definition of Lightworker has evolved as our understanding and consciousness has evolved…..as we have evolved.

Today it is understood that Lightworkers are people at the leading edge of transforming human consciousness. They themselves are ‘waking up’, experiencing expanded consciousness and a reconnection to the infinite intelligence accessible to all via our inner knowing. In the process of their own development, Lightworkers are influencing others and catalyzing their awakening even without consciously trying to do so, simply due to their increasingly clear, light and positive vibrational output. A defining quality of Lightworkers, however, is their conscious awareness – this is where their true power lies.

What is a lightworker? Are YOU a lightworker? (Spoiler: Yes, you are.)

Eventually we will reach a time where all people could be categorized as a Lightworker because the future potential of humanity is one where most people most of the time are awakened, conscious, connected, aware, energetically masterful and compassionate. Lightworkers are not any better than anyone else, they are just going first and holding the door open for the next wave.

Fall in love with taking care of yourself. Mind. Body. Soul. TeeYou cannot train to be a Lightworker but you can learn to recognize your innate Lightworker traits. You can learn how to look after yourself as you go through the neurological, physical, emotional and energetic transformations involved in your emergence as a Lightworker. You can study to develop your innate gifts and abilities, and equip yourself with the tools to help you serve others.

You did in fact choose to be a Lightworker in the space between lives, before you were born. It is a great honour to be given the chance to come in and experience human life, there are millions of souls who want to be here who don’t get in! So to be here and to be doing the work of the Lightworker at this time of great shifts is a hugely powerful and joyful responsibility, one not to be taken lightly but one to be celebrated and enjoyed at any given opportunity! As a Lightworker you were born with an energy matrix and blueprint carrying your potential as a Lightworker, just as the caterpillar comes into the world carrying the blueprint to at some point transform and become a butterfly.

There are many Lightworkers who having gone through the main chaos of their awakening several years ago are now grounding their work and setting up businesses and organisations to serve others as they break awake. The next wave of awakening is taking place as demonstrated clearly to me in the vast numbers of emerging Lightworkers I have been helping over the years as a healer and coach. The next phase of emergence has begun and the numbers will be greater this time, Lightworkers who are now awake and aware will be called to support those experiencing the signs and symptoms of awakening, they will also be called to start actively creating the new world.

VIEW T-SHIRTS & GIFTSLightworkers tend to be highly sensitive and intuitive, drawn to the healing arts or creative pursuits. Whatever they do, at some point they will feel called to do something more meaningful and possibly spiritual or soulful with their lives, something to help others or change things in the world that just don’t feel right.

There are many labels and categories that describe people that may be Lightworkers , some of which you may have heard before. For example: ’Starseeds’, ‘Indigos’, ‘Magentas’, ‘Crystal/Rainbow/Diamond Children’, ‘Earth Angels’ etc. Not all of these will be Lightworkers necessarily and not all Lightworkers would fit into these categories. Each group is playing a unique role in the evolution of human consciousness, no one group is any better than the other.

Lightworkers are here in vastly growing numbers on Earth to continue the much earlier work of the select handful of awake souls from thousands of years ago we may once have called ‘Masters’, those we based religions around. Then came the Starseeds who are now the teachers and mentors for the current generation of Lightworkers ready to serve and help those Lightworkers who are just now struggling with the early signs & symptoms of awakening. Hence the idea of waves, each one impacting & helping the next and each wave growing in number until every human holds the qualities of a Lightworker & we have an entirely new human consciousness here on Earth.

Depending on your earlier life trials (common to Lightworkers) you may be lacking in self-esteem at having never fitted in or having been bullied earlier in life for seeming strange. It is important to believe in yourself, to learn to accept who you are, and for your own health and well-being start daring to speak your truth.

Some keys steps to feeling empowered as a Lightworker are:

  • Recognise and lovingly accept yourself as a Lightworker. Learn about what it means to be one.
  • Learn self-care and a daily practice of healing & nourishing yourself.
  • Release and forgive your past and yourself for the times you hid your light and your truth and didn’t speak up.
  • Find your ‘resonant family’ or soul group of fellow Lightworkers.
  • Learn Energy Skills for ‘energy hygiene’, grounding, boundaries and Source connection.
  • Get a mentor and use creative tools to energise your soul purpose & joyful work.
  • Embrace being different!
